In the age of videogame history that saw a new face in the
videogame market, Sony and their indomitable Playstation, Nintendo made one last hooray for a home console that utilized
cartridge technology. While the expensive cartridges drove
many developers away (generally to Sony's machine), Nintendo
and a few select others stayed on, at times making some of the
greatest entries that videogames had ever seen. Launching
with Super Mario 64, the Nintendo 64 may have played second
fiddle to Sony's market giant, but there was positively
nothing wrong with the console when you had no loading times
and great games to play on it. |
